Review of the standards for leading positions in agencies under the General Department of Taxation of Vietnam

In line with the directives of the Ministry of Finance of Vietnam, aimed at perfecting political theory and state management standards for leadership positions within the Tax sector as stipulated in Decree 29/2024/ND-CP, following Official Dispatch 2606/TCT-TCCB dated June 18, 2024, the General Department of Taxation requests tax departments to continue reviewing position standards for the leadership team at all levels and implement the following actions:

- Create favorable conditions and arrange tasks to promptly dispatch unit leaders who do not meet the required standards in political theory and state management to participate in training courses within the deadlines specified in Clause 1, Article 34 of Decree 29/2024/ND-CP by the Government of Vietnam.

- Based on the approval of additional targets and training funds for intermediate political theory as per Decision 1164/QD-TCT dated August 20, 2024, by the General Department of Taxation; collaborate with the Provincial/City Party Committees' Organization Committees, the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, and provincial political schools to register and dispatch officials and public employees for political theory training.

- Coordinate with the National Academy of Public Administration and other authorized training institutions to register and dispatch officials and public employees for state management training.

- In cases where the deadlines stipulated in Clauses 1, 2, and 3, Article 34 of Decree 29/2024/ND-CP expire and officials and public employees do not meet the political theory and state management standards, the competent authority will consider revoking appointment decisions and reallocating them to appropriate professional tasks.
