Responsibilities of Customs Officials When Clearing Goods

The General Department of Customs has just issued Official Dispatch No. 6902/TCHQ-GSQL providing guidance on the customs clearance of goods subject to specialized inspection on the National Single Window Portal. Accordingly:

- When there are specialized inspection results, the customs declarant shall supplement the customs dossier on the electronic data processing system to provide reference information (Quality Certification Number);- Within 02 hours, customs officials are responsible for accessing the centralized electronic customs clearance system (E-Customs) to look up and extract license information granted by the Ministries to decide the customs clearance of goods.

Note: Customs officials do not require the customs declarant to submit paper documents as guided in Official Dispatch 5887/TCHQ-CNTT dated June 30, 2015.- In case there is no inspection result data, customs officials shall notify the customs declarant and contact the HelpDesk for support.
