Resource and environmental monitoring database system in Vietnam

(1) Natural resources and environmental monitoring database is a collection of information and monitoring data on natural resources and the environment that is built, updated, and maintained for management, exploitation, and use through electronic means, including:

- National natural resources and environment monitoring database;

- Field resource and environmental monitoring database;

- Natural resources and environment monitoring database for ministries and branches;

- Provincial level natural resources and environment monitoring database;

- Natural resources and environmental monitoring database of domestic and international organizations and individuals;

- Open database for monitoring natural resources and the environment.

(2) National natural resources and environment monitoring database is a resource and environmental monitoring database compiled, linked, and integrated from resource and environmental monitoring databases nationwide; It serves the purpose of connecting, providing, and sharing information and environmental monitoring data according to regulations, including:

- Subjective data on natural resources and environmental monitoring;

- Shared catalog data for natural resource and environmental monitoring;

- General data, thematic monitoring of natural resources and the environment;

- Resource and environmental monitoring metadata;

- Open data directory for natural resources and environmental monitoring.

(3) Field resource and environment monitoring database is a collection of information and monitoring data according to specialized fields of natural resources and the environment, including:

- Monitoring database in the land field;

- Monitoring database in the field of water resources;

- Monitoring database in the field of mineral resources and geology;

- Monitoring database in the field of environment;

- Monitoring database in the field of hydrometeorology;

- Monitoring database in the field of surveying and mapping;

- Monitoring database in the field of integrated resource management and environmental protection of sea and islands;

- Monitoring database in the field of remote sensing;

- Other natural resources and environmental monitoring databases as prescribed by law do not fall into the cases specified from Points a to h of this Clause.

(4) Provincial-level natural resources and environmental monitoring database is a collection of information and monitoring data on natural resources and the environment under the management of the Provincial People's Committee, including:

- The natural resources and environmental monitoring database as prescribed in Clause 3 of this Article is under the management of the provincial level;

- Open database for natural resources and environmental monitoring;

- Other natural resources and environmental monitoring databases do not fall into the cases specified in Points a and b of this Clause.

(5) Natural resources and environment monitoring database for ministries and branches is a collection of information and monitoring data on natural resources and the environment under the management of ministries and branches and built and managed by ministries and branches.

(6) Natural resources and environmental monitoring databases of domestic and international organizations and individuals
is a collection of information and monitoring data on natural resources and the environment developed and managed by domestic and international organizations and individuals.
