Resolution on Policies for Convalescence and Health Recovery after Sickness

Recently, the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs issued Official Dispatch No. 2856/LDTBXH-BHXH to address some issues in the implementation of social insurance benefits for employees.

The Ministry of Labor, War Invalids, and Social Affairs provides the following opinions:

- Employees who take sick leave for 30 days or more in a year and whose health has not recovered within the first 30 days of returning to work are eligible for convalescence and health recovery leave;- The duration of sick leave for employees taking unpaid leave is as specified in Clause 4 Article 4 of Circular 59/2015/TT-BLDTBXH;- Vietnam Social Security is requested to ensure compliance with regulations on sick leave policies for employees. Should any issues arise, they should be summarized and proposed for amendment.
