Resolution 136: 17 sustainable development objectives for Vietnam by 2030

Recently, the Government of Vietnam issued Resolution 136/NQ-CP on sustainable development for the period from now until 2030 to promote the implementation of sustainable development objectives across central authorities, authorities of all levels, and localities.

The Government sets out 17 sustainable development objectives for Vietnam by 2030, specifically including:

  • End poverty in all its forms everywhere
  • End hunger, ensure food security, improve nutrition and promote sustainable agricultural development
  • Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages
  • Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote life-long learning opportunities for all
  •  Achieve gender quality; empower and create enabling opportunities for women and girls
  • Ensure availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all
  • Ensure sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth; full and productive employment and decent work for all
  • Conserve and sustainably use the oceans, the sea and marine resources for sustainable development
