August 16, 2018, the Government of Vietnam issued Resolution 107/NQ-CP on the action program for implementing Resolution 27-NQ/TW on reforming wage policies for Vietnamese officials and public employees, armed forces, and laborers in enterprises.
Notably, the construction of new salary regulation documents for the judiciary, courts, and state audit sectors is underway. The Government of Vietnam requests the Supreme People's Court, Supreme People's Procuracy, and State Audit of Vietnam to cooperate with the Ministry of Home Affairs and Ministry of Finance:
- Draft salary scales based on job position, title, leadership roles, and preferential occupational allowances (if any) for Vietnamese officials and public employees specialized in courts, procuracies, and state audits;- Propose amendments and replacements for legal documents regarding salary policies, to be completed in the third quarter of 2019 and submitted to the Ministry of Home Affairs.
The Ministry of National Defense will specifically create three salary scales, including:
- One salary scale for military officers, police officers, and non-commissioned police officers;- One salary scale for professional military personnel and technical police personnel;- One salary scale for defense workers, police workers, and special allowances for armed forces.
