Requirements for appointment of management council members in public health service providers in Vietnam from March 1, 2025

The appointment of members of the Management Board in the public service provider in the public health sector in Vietnam from March 1, 2025 must meet the following conditions:

(1) For members of the Management Board:

- Must be an official or public employee;

- Possess good political and ethical qualities; have prestige and sufficient health to fulfill the assigned responsibilities and duties;

- Not under disciplinary action or under consideration for disciplinary action as prescribed by law;

- Hold a professional qualification from a university level or higher in a field relevant to the assigned duties;

- For first-time appointed members of the Management Board, they must have sufficient working age for at least one term (60 months from the time of appointment); in special cases, report to the competent authority for appointment consideration and decision;

- Must not be the spouse; parent, foster parent or the spouse's parent or foster parent; biological child, adopted child, daughter-in-law, son-in-law; sibling; sibling of the spouse with other members of the Management Board and with the head, chief accountant (or responsible for accounting) of the public service provider in the public health sector;

- Meet other standards and conditions as prescribed by the competent authority for the decision to appoint members of the Management Board and the Chairman of the Management Board.

(2) For the Chairman of the Management Board:

- Meet the standards and conditions specified in (1);

- Have management capability and meet conditions, standards as the head of the public service provider in the public health sector as prescribed by law and regulations of the competent authority.

(3) For the Vice Chairman of the Management Board (if any):

- Meet the standards and conditions specified in (1);

- Have management capability and meet conditions, standards as the deputy of the head of the public service provider in the public health sector as prescribed by law and regulations of the competent authority.
