Regulations on the content of hydrometeorological forecast and warning bulletins in Vietnam

On July 5, 2022, the Minister of Natural Resources and Environment of Vietnam issued Circular 08/2022/TT-BTNMT on types of bulletins and deadlines for hydro-meteorological forecasts and warnings.

According to the Circular in Vietnam, the specific content of the hydrometeorological forecast and warning bulletins is as follows:

- Headings of hydro-meteorological forecasts and warnings are recorded in the following order:

+ Name of the message type;

+ Forecasting location or area;

+ Warning.

- Brief information on the current status;

- Forecast and warning contents: follow the regulations of Articles 10, Article 11, Article 12, Article 13, Article 14 and Article 15 of Circular 08/2022/TT-BTNMT corresponding to each type of bulletin and forecast period;

- Time to issue the bulletin and the time to issue the next bulletin;

- Name and signature of the person responsible for issuing the bulletin or authentication of the agency issuing the bulletin.

Note:

- The General Department of Meteorology and Hydrology of Vietnam shall detail the contents of the above-mentioned hydro-meteorological forecasts and warnings for the national hydro-meteorological forecast and warning system.

- Organizations and individuals that are not part of the national hydro-meteorological forecasting and warning system shall detail the above-mentioned contents in accordance with actual requirements in Vietnam

Circular 08/2022/TT-BTNMT takes effect on August 19, 2022, replacing Circular 06/2016/TT-BTNMT.
