Regulations on publishing the results of measuring people's satisfaction with public health services in Vietnam

On January 8, 2024, the Minister of Health issued Decision 56/QD-BYT on guidance on methods to measure people's satisfaction with public health services for the period 2024-2030 in Vietnam.

The people's satisfaction index with public health services needs to be publicly and promptly announced via the website or at the headquarters of the agency or unit.

- Public medical facilities

Public medical facilities self-publish people's satisfaction index with services provided by the unit according to surveys and annually.

- Department of Health of provinces/centrally-run cities

+ Departments of Health of provinces and centrally run cities announce people's satisfaction index with local public health services.

+ Some ratios according to targets in Decision 56/QD-BYT.

- The Ministry of Health announces the people's satisfaction index with public health services nationwide, including the following indexes:

+ People's satisfaction index with medical examination and treatment services at medical examination and treatment facilities under the Ministry of Health.

+ People's satisfaction index with medical examination and treatment services at medical examination and treatment facilities nationwide and in localities.

+ People's satisfaction index with expanded vaccination services nationwide and in localities.

+ Some ratios according to targets in Decision 56/QD-BYT.

Indicators measuring people's satisfaction with public health services

- Every year, 100% of health management agencies announce people's satisfaction rate with public health services.

- Every year, 100% of public medical examination and treatment facilities and health stations measure people's satisfaction with the medical services provided by the unit and use the measurement results to implement solutions to improve the quality of service delivery.

- 100% of public health facilities that have conducted measurements are satisfied and publicly publish the results on the unit's website or at the unit's headquarters.

- By 2025, people's satisfaction with public health services will reach at least 85%, and by 2030, at least 90%.
