Regulations on providing information for vehicles entering and exiting the bus terminal from July 15, 2024 in Vietnam

In Clause 5, Article 1 of Circular 18/2024/TT-BGTVT (amending and supplementing Clause 4, Article 51 of Circular 12/2020/TT-BGTVT), the provision of information for vehicles entering and exiting bus terminals is as follows:

- The information provided on the Transport Order of each vehicle operating at the station includes: name of the station (name, station code as per the publication decision); name of the transportation enterprise or cooperative (name, tax code of the transportation business enterprise or cooperative); driver's name (full name, class of driver's license, number of driver's license); vehicle registration plate; operation route (route code, departure station, destination station); time of vehicle departure from the station; actual number of passengers at the time of vehicle departure from the station;

- The information stipulated in Point a, Clause 4, Article 51 of Circular 12/2020/TT-BGTVT is continuously provided to the software of the Vietnam Road Administration within no more than 03 minutes from the time the vehicle departs from the station.

Currently, Clause 4, Article 51 of Circular 12/2020/TT-BGTVT stipulates the provision of information on the transport order as follows:

- The default identifying information includes: name, tax code of the transportation business enterprise or cooperative; name, tax code of the software service provider transmitting data (in case the transportation business enterprise, cooperative, or bus terminal unit hires this service); name of the Department of Transport (where the transport business license is issued for the enterprise or cooperative); name, station code (terminus for bus routes); information about the vehicle (vehicle registration plate, brand and seating capacity); information about the operation route (route code, departure station, destination station (terminus for bus routes)); scheduled vehicle departure time. This default information must be attached to the trip information at Point b, Clause 4, Article 51 of Circular 12/2020/TT-BGTVT;

- Information for each trip includes: driver's information (full name, class of driver's license, number of driver's license); actual vehicle departure time; number of passengers at the time of vehicle departure;

- The bus terminal unit, transportation business enterprises, and cooperatives for fixed-route passenger transportation by bus are responsible for providing information on the Transport Order of each trip to the server of the Vietnam Road Directorate according to the roadmap specified in Clause 8, Article 4, Clause 4, Article 5 of Decree 10/2020/ND-CP;

- The information at Points a and b, Clause 4, Article 51 of Circular 12/2020/TT-BGTVT is continuously provided to the server of the Vietnam Road Directorate within no more than 03 minutes from the time the vehicle departs.
