The Minister of Public Security (Hanoi, Vietnam) issues Circular 32/2024/TT-BCA dated July 10, 2024, amending Circular 149/2020/TT-BCA guiding the Law on Fire Prevention and Fighting 2001 and Circular 08/2018/TT-BCA guiding Decree 83/2017/ND-CP on rescue operations by fire departments in Vietnam.

Regulations on inspection stamps for fire prevention and fighting equipment in Vietnam as of August 24, 2024

The Circular 32/2024/TT-BCA amends Article 15 of Circular 149/2020/TT-BCA regarding Inspection stamps for fire prevention and fighting equipment as follows:

- Inspection stamps are affixed to fire prevention and fighting equipment listed in Annex VII issued with Decree 136/2020/ND-CP that have been inspected and issued Certification of Fire Prevention and Fighting Equipment Inspection:

+ Template A stamps are used for vehicles such as fire trucks; rescue and salvage vehicles; fire ladder trucks; pump station vehicles; gas supply vehicles for fire fighting; vehicles for carrying and refilling fire breathing gas cylinders; smoke extractor vehicles; fire fighting boats, motorboats, and canoes; fire pumps; containers (tanks, drums, cylinders, cans) for fire extinguishing agents mentioned in item 4 of Annex VII issued with Decree 136/2020/ND-CP ;

+ Template B stamps are used for equipment such as fire hoses; fire nozzles; hose connectors, fire hydrants;+ Template C stamps are used for equipment such as central fire alarm cabinets, various types of fire detectors, fire alarm bells, fire alarm lights, fire alarm buttons; automatic fire extinguishing system control cabinets; discharge warning bells, sirens, lights, fire extinguishing agent discharge buttons; emergency exit signs, emergency lighting;+ Template D stamps are used for equipment such as alarm valves, deluge valves, zone selector valves, pressure switches, fire extinguishing system flow switches; non-metal pipes used in fire water supply systems, flexible hoses for fire sprinklers;+ Template E stamps are used for equipment such as various types of fire extinguishers; gas cylinders for fire extinguishing agents;+ Template G stamps are used for various types of fire extinguishing nozzles.

- Inspection stamps for fire prevention and fighting equipment follow Template No.03 as specified in the Appendices issued with Circular 149/2020/TT-BCA.

- The Fire Prevention, Fighting, Rescue, and Salvage Police Department is responsible for printing, issuing, and managing Inspection stamps for fire prevention and fighting equipment.
