On November 30, 2022, the Minister of Construction of Vietnam issued Circular 06/2022/TT-BXD on National Technical Regulation QCVN 06:2022/BXD on Fire Safety for Houses and Constructions.
According to Vietnam's Circular 06/2022/TT-BXD, regulations on fire safety requirements for building materials for houses, for example:
- Building materials for houses are chosen based on their intended use and fire hazards.
- Fire safety requirements for the application of indoor building materials are specified in accordance with the criteria on fire hazards of the materials specified in Table B.7 (Appendix B).
- The use of finishing materials on the escape routes, such as decorative materials, paving materials, and floor covering materials, must comply with the requirements at:
- For common rooms (except sports arenas and dance hall floors), follow the provisions of Table B.9 (Appendix B).
- Floor covering materials must have a fire hazard grade no higher than CV1 in rooms of buildings in groups F5, A, B, and C1 where flammable liquids are used or stored.
- It is not permitted to use finishing materials for walls, ceilings, and suspended ceilings, paving materials with a fire hazard grade, or materials more dangerous than CV1; floor covering materials with a fire hazard class, or materials more dangerous than CV2...
