The Ministry of Transport has just promulgated Circular No. 11/2018/TT-BGTVT regulating shared bridges and traffic in the area of shared bridges.

Participants in traffic traveling on shared bridges must keep the following points in mind:

- Give priority to railway transportation vehicles;- Comply with the orders of shared bridge guards and the instructions of road and railway signs in the shared bridge area;- When there is a stop signal, traffic participants (including priority vehicles) must stop on the right side of their road and before the stop line.

Primitive vehicles, pedestrians, and animals led by people must use the designated roadway portion on the bridge. It is not permitted for primitive vehicles, pedestrians, and animals led by people to enter the portion of the road designated for other vehicles.

Circular 11/2018/TT-BGTVT takes effect from July 1, 2018, replacing Circular 38/2012/TT-BGTVT.
