Official Dispatch 4359/TLD-QHLD stipulates the instructions for implementing Resolution 17/2022/UBTVQH15 on the number of overtime hours worked in 01 year, in 01 month of employees in COVID-19 epidemic prevention and control and socio-economic recovery and development period in Vietnam
According to the Official Dispatch, the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor guides the provincial and municipal Labor Confederations, the Central Sector Trade Union, and the Corporation's Trade Union under the General Confederation to deploy and supervise the implementation of the Decree as follows:
To guide and orient trade unions at all levels in Vietnam (especially grassroots trade unions) on certain points of negotiation with employers when organizing overtime, for example:
- Proposing additional meals and snacks for employees after finishing overtime to recover their health.
- Proposing businesses to support child care for employees, especially employees with children under 6 years old.
- If the overtime in a shift is more than 3 hours, aside from the regulations in Vietnam on the break time between shifts, it is suggested that the employer should arrange a break of at least 10 minutes every 90 minutes of overtime work, especially for workers working on continuous production lines.
- Proposing, negotiating with businesses on providing a shift meal with sufficient quality, nutritional balance, food safety and hygiene with a meal value equal to or higher than the level specified in clause 1 of this article. 5 Conclusion No. 03/KL-BCH.
