Proposal by the Government of Vietnam to Abolish Half of the Current Business Conditions

This is a noteworthy content in Resolution 98/NQ-CP, the Action Program of the Government of Vietnam implementing Resolution 10-NQ/TW on developing the private economy to become an important driving force of the socialist-oriented market economy.

The Government of Vietnam has addressed the removal of unnecessary and unreasonable business conditions regulations imposed by ministries, ministerial-level agencies, agencies under the Government of Vietnam, and Provincial People's Committees. To be specific:

- At least one-third to one-half of the current business conditions under management and administrative procedures that are causing obstructions and difficulties for enterprises (DN) must be abolished.- Organize periodic public dialogues at least twice a year with the business community and the press.

In addition, the Government of Vietnam also requires the Ministry of Planning and Investment to urgently draft a Decree on controlling and improving the quality of business investment conditions and submit it to the Government of Vietnam in December 2017.
