The Steering Committee for Crime Prevention and Control of Vietnam operates according to the following principles and working policies:

- Members of the Steering Committee work on a concurrent basis, are responsible for directing the implementation of crime prevention and control; and human trafficking prevention and control according to the functions and tasks of the ministries and central authorities, mass organizations where they work, and as assigned by the Head of the Steering Committee;

- Ensure the requirement for close coordination and unity in direction, administration, and information exchange to resolve work according to functions, tasks, and authority as prescribed by law;

- The Head uses the seal of TTCP; Deputy Heads and other members use the seals of the ministries and central authorities, mass organizations where they work.
