Promulgation of technical and economic norms of preventive medical services in the field of infectious disease prevention and control at public healthcare facilities in Vietnam

The technical-economic norms for 314 preventive health services in the field of infectious disease prevention and control at public medical facilities are issued together with the Circular 06/2025/TT-BYT. To be specific:

- Collecting, preserving, and transporting respiratory specimen samples (including throat swabs from hand, foot, and mouth disease patients, conjunctivitis, etc.);

- Collecting, preserving, and transporting gastrointestinal specimen samples (including specimens from patients with diarrhea, acute flaccid paralysis, hand, foot, and mouth disease, etc.);

- Collecting, preserving, and transporting blood specimen samples (blood, serum, plasma, etc.) for serological testing;

- Collecting, preserving, and transporting blood specimen samples (blood, serum, plasma, etc.) for molecular biology testing;

- Collecting, preserving, and transporting samples of pus and body fluids (vesicular fluid, cerebrospinal fluid, eye secretions, genital-anal path, etc.);

- Collecting, preserving, and transporting environmental samples (water, surfaces, air, etc.);

- Preparing viral transport media (respiratory + gastrointestinal);

- Preparing bacterial transport media (respiratory + gastrointestinal);

- Preparing viral culture and isolation media;

- Preparing bacterial culture, isolation, and identification media;

- Testing for IgG antibodies against rubella virus using the ELISA technique;

- Testing for IgG antibodies against measles virus using the ELISA technique;

- Testing for IgM antibodies against rubella virus using the ELISA technique;

- Testing for IgM antibodies against measles virus using the ELISA technique;

- Testing for IgM antibodies against Japanese encephalitis virus using the ELISA technique;

- …;

Circular 06/2025/TT-BYT is effective from March 4, 2025.
