The Ministry of Education and Training has issued Decision 514/QD-BGDDT amending and supplementing clauses 3, 4, and 5 of Article 1; point b of clause 2 of Article 4 in Decision 2071/QD-BGDDT on the framework for the academic year calendar for early childhood education, general education, and continuing education, applicable from the 2017-2018 academic year.

The framework for the academic year timeline for early childhood education, general education, and continuing education for the 2019 - 2020 academic year will be changed as follows:

- Conclude the first semester before January 20, complete the second semester education programs before June 28, and finish the academic year before June 30;- Consider the recognition of primary education completion and lower secondary school graduation before July 15;- Complete admissions for grade 10 before August 15 annually.

Report to the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET): The status of academic year preparation and the organization of the opening ceremony before September 10; the first semester summary before January 30; the end-of-year summary, report on the implementation of emulation criteria, and requests for academic year commendations before July 31.
