Promulgating economic-technical norms for the activities of collection, transportation, and treatment of household solid waste of Vietnam

The economic - technical norms for the collection, transportation, and treatment of household solid waste generated by households and individuals in Vietnam include:

- Economic - technical norms for the collection and transportation of household solid waste: manual collection of household solid waste from households and individuals to collection points; mechanical collection of household solid waste from households and individuals to receiving facilities; transportation of household solid waste from collection points to receiving facilities, from transfer stations to treatment facilities; transportation of bulky waste from collection points to treatment facilities; transportation of hazardous waste generated by households and individuals from collection points to treatment facilities or hazardous waste storage points; transportation of wastewater generated during the collection, transportation, and treatment of household solid waste to treatment facilities; cleaning of household solid waste collection points;

- Economic - technical norms for the operation of household solid waste transfer stations: operation of transfer stations for household solid waste using compression equipment; operation of transfer stations for household solid waste without using compression equipment;

- Economic - technical norms for the treatment of household solid waste: operation of facilities for processing food waste into compost; operation of sanitary landfills for household solid waste; operation of facilities for incinerating household solid waste with energy recovery for electricity generation; operation of facilities for incinerating household solid waste without energy recovery; operation of wastewater treatment facilities generated during the collection, transportation, and treatment of household solid waste.

These economic - technical norms apply to organizations, individuals, and households involved in the collection, transportation, and treatment of household solid waste as well as related organizations and individuals within the territory of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

Circular 36/2024/TT-BTNMT is effective from February 6, 2025.
