Prohibition of Giving Tet 2020 Gifts to Leaders at All Levels in Any Form

Recently, the Central Executive Committee of the Communist Party issued Directive 40-CT/TW regarding the organization of the Tet holiday in 2020.

To celebrate Tet Canh Ty 2020 in a joyful, healthy, safe, and economical manner, the Vietnam Fatherland Front and various socio-political organizations at all levels should focus on leading, directing, and organizing the implementation of the following tasks:

- Take excellent care of the lives of policy beneficiary families, poor households, people in regions affected by natural disasters and epidemics, remote areas, difficult areas, border areas, and islands; workers in industrial zones, export processing zones, etc.;- Organize fireworks displays to welcome the New Year and Tet Canh Ty 2020 in accordance with the conditions of each locality, ensure absolute safety, and do not use the state budget;- Do not organize visits to or extend Tet greetings to superiors and leaders at all levels.
