Professional qualifications of blasting supervisors in production and use of industrial explosives in Vietnam from January 1, 2025

The blasting supervisor in Vietnam must possess at least an intermediate level degree in a technical discipline:

- For the disciplines specified in Clause 1, Article 4 of Decree 181/2024/ND-CP: Management personnel of organizations and enterprises that produce and use industrial explosives must hold a university degree or higher in one of the following technical fields: Chemical; Weapons; Explosives; Technical Engineering for Sappers; Mining Exploitation; Mining Engineering; Geology; Construction Engineering; Transportation; Irrigation; Geophysics; Petroleum.

Or in the field of Drilling and Blasting, the blasting supervisor must have a minimum of 1 year of direct experience using industrial explosives for those with a university degree or higher and a minimum of 2 years for those with an intermediate or college degree;

- For technical disciplines not specified in point a, Clause 4, Article 4 of Decree 181/2024/ND-CP, the blasting supervisor must have a minimum of 2 years of direct experience using industrial explosives for those with a university degree or higher and a minimum of 3 years for those with an intermediate or college degree.

Note: The blasting supervisor is the individual appointed by the organization or enterprise using industrial explosives to direct, guide, and organize the implementation of the use of industrial explosives following the approved blasting passport. (According to Clause 2, Article 3 of Decree 181/2024/ND-CP)
