The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment issues Circular 46/2017/TT-BTNMT stipulating the technical indicators and the process of building and updating the database (DB) of administrative boundaries.
The process of building the administrative boundary database goes through the following steps:
- Step 1: Preparation (planning, preparing materials, equipment, manpower, location, etc., and collecting documents for constructing the administrative boundary database);- Step 2: Technical editing (aggregating, analyzing documents, administrative boundary dossier data, geographic base data, developing implementation guidelines);- Step 3: Building the administrative boundary data (initializing the data package; converting data formats; identifying changeable objects, constructing spatial data, attribute data of administrative boundary objects);- Step 4: Cross-checking and finalizing data;- Step 5: Building administrative boundary metadata;- Step 6: Packaging and submitting products.
