This is one of the directives of the Prime Minister of the Government of Vietnam in Directive 18/CT-TTg on strengthening measures to prevent and combat violence and abuse against children.
In order to strengthen the prevention and prompt handling of cases of violence and abuse against children, minimize harm, and ensure the rights and interests of children, the Prime Minister requests:
- Ministry of Health:- Guide medical facilities to prioritize the reception, treatment, and health care counseling for children who have been subjected to violence or abuse.- Quickly coordinate with relevant ministries and central authorities to amend and supplement regulations on forensic examination for children who have been sexually abused.
- Ministry of Public Security: Direct the police at all levels to definitively handle cases of violence and abuse against children; strictly handle acts of covering up, delaying, or intentionally prolonging cases of violence and abuse against children.
- Ministry of Education and Training: Review school standards to ensure a safe, healthy, and friendly educational environment to prevent violence and abuse against children.
