On September 9, 2024, the Prime Minister of the Government of Vietnam issued Decision 943/QD-TTg on emergency assistance to repair damage caused by No. 3 Typhoon in Vietnam
- Support of 100 billion VND (One hundred billion VND) from the central budget's contingency fund for the year 2024 is allocated to 05 localities to implement post-storm recovery and stabilize the lives of the residents after No. 3 Typhoon (including: Nam Dinh 20 billion VND, Thai Binh 30 billion VND, Hai Duong 20 billion VND, Yen Bai 20 billion VND, Hung Yen 10 billion VND).
- The People's Committees of the provinces: Nam Dinh, Thai Binh, Hai Duong, Yen Bai, Hung Yen are responsible for specifically allocating and utilizing the additional funds mentioned above in accordance with the laws on state budget and other related legal documents, ensuring proper use, economy, effectiveness, and avoiding loss, waste, and negative impacts; utilize the central budget support together with local budget resources and other legitimate funds to promptly overcome the damage caused by No. 3 Typhoon in Vietnam.
- The local authorities of Quang Ninh and Hai Phong have reported that they are currently balancing their local resources to overcome the aftermath of No. 3 Typhoon; hence, the central budget will consider support when these localities propose it.
Decision 943/QD-TTg takes effect in Vietnam from September 9, 2024.
