On November 26, 2024, the Office of the Government of Vietnam issued Official Dispatch 8726/VPCP-KGVX regarding the Lunar New Year holiday and several other public holidays in 2025.
Upon considering the proposal of the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs in Document No. 5152/BLDTBXH-CATLD dated October 22, 2024, and Document No. 5621/BLDTBXH-CATLD dated November 8, 2024, regarding the plan for Lunar New Year holiday, National Day holiday, and other holidays in 2025, the Prime Minister of the Government of Vietnam opines as follows:
- Agrees with the proposal of the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs in the aforementioned documents concerning the Lunar New Year holiday, National Day holiday, and the rearrangement of working days during the Victory Day on April 30 and International Labor Day on May 1, 2025. The Minister of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs is to notify administrative agencies, public service units, political organizations, socio-political organizations, enterprises, and workers in accordance with the regulations.
- Agencies and units are to arrange and organize teams to remain on duty as required and work reasonably to ensure continuous work processing, and to efficiently serve organizations and the public. This includes appointing officials to handle any unexpected or sudden tasks during the holiday periods as stipulated.
- Ministries, agencies, and localities are to develop specific and appropriate plans and measures to encourage units, enterprises, organizations, and individuals to proactively and actively implement production, business, economic, and social activities. This aims to ensure the stability of supply and demand of goods, services, prices, and markets, contributing to promoting production, business, and economic growth, practicing thrift, combating waste, and striving to achieve the goals and tasks set out in the 2025 plan, which is a year of acceleration and breakthrough in implementing the 5-year plan 2021 - 2025, thereby creating a solid foundation for rapid and sustainable development in the future.
