Plan to settle the compulsory social insurance regime with the Deputy Chief of the Commune Police in Vietnam

On September 6, 2021, the Government of Vietnam promulgated Resolution 101/NQ-CP on solving problems in implementing compulsory social insurance with Deputy Commanders of Military, Deputy Chiefs of Public Security of communes and officials working under labor contracts at Commune People's Committees.

According to this Resolution, the Vietnamese Government agreed on a plan to solve problems in the implementation of compulsory social insurance with the Deputy Commander of the Military, the Deputy Chief of the Commune Police and officials working under labor contracts at the Commune People's Committee as proposed by the People's Committee of the commune, specifically:

- For the positions of Deputy Military Commanders, Deputy Chiefs of Commune-level Police of Vietnam, who have worked from November 2003 to present, they will be entitled to social insurance benefits under regulations when paid compulsory social insurance and meet the conditions of payment of compulsory social insurance.

- For employees whose labor contract is signed by the People's Committee of the commune for full 03 months or more and has paid compulsory social insurance and the salary as the basis for payment of social insurance is the salary stated in the labor contract, the following benefits will be settled if all conditions are met or the time of payment of compulsory social insurance is reserved as prescribed.

- Funds for settlement of the above regime shall be paid by the social insurance fund under regulations.

Resolution 101/NQ-CP of Vietnam takes effect from September 6, 2021.
