Plan for the Implementation of the Scheme for Electronic Tax Payment and 24/7 Customs Clearance

On August 8, 2017, the General Department of Customs issued Official Dispatch 5273/TCHQ-TXNK announcing the implementation plan of the Scheme for electronic tax payment and customs clearance 24/7 as follows:

- Upgrade the Customs Electronic Payment Portal, develop taxpayer functions, declaration functions, and money order creation; establish the process of information exchange between the General Department of Customs and cooperating banks: Expected to be completed before September 30, 2017;- Test the information exchange system between the General Department of Customs and cooperating banks: Expected from October 1, 2017, to October 15, 2017;- Organize training conferences for taxpayers, bank staff cooperating in collection, and customs officers: Expected from October 3, 2017, to October 10, 2017, divided into 3 conferences in the North, Central, and South regions;- Plan to implement the pilot Scheme for 24/7 electronic tax payment and customs clearance: From October 16, 2017.

Additionally, attached Official Dispatch 5273 includes the following Appendices:

- Appendix I: List of cooperating banks;- Appendix II: Data message standards set;- Appendix III: Information exchange process.
