On December 07, 2022, the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs (MOLISA) issued Notice 5034/TB-LDTBXH regarding the Lunar New Year holiday and the National Day holiday in 2023 for officials, public employees, and employees in Vietnam.

- For officials and public employees and employees of administrative agencies, public service units, political organizations, and socio-political organizations in Vietnam:

They will have Lunar New Year holidays in Vietnam in 2023 from Friday, January 20, 2023 (29th day of the 12th month of the Year of the Tiger) until the end of Thursday, January 26, 2023 (5th day of the 1st month of the Year of the Cat).

This holiday period includes 05 days of Lunar New Year holidays and 02 compensatory days for weekends as regulated in Clause 3, Article 111 of the Labor Code.

- For employees in the non-state sector, employers can choose one of the following Lunar New Year holiday options:

+ 01 day at the end of the Year of the Tiger and 04 days at the beginning of the Year of the Cat;

+ 02 days at the end of the Year of the Tiger and 03 days at the beginning of the Year of the Cat;

+ 03 days at the end of the Year of the Tiger and 02 days at the beginning of the Year of the Cat.
