Pilot Project on Radio in 10 Mountainous and Border Provinces

The Prime Minister of the Government of Vietnam has recently signed Decision 1860/QD-TTg approving the Pilot Project to Provide Radios to Ethnic Minority Areas and Mountainous Regions, Specially Difficult Areas, and Border Areas.

Pilot program to distribute 01 radio to the following beneficiaries:

- Village elders, village chiefs, reputable individuals, religious dignitaries in extremely difficult villages under Group III communes in the selected provinces;- Party Cell Secretary, Youth Union Cell Secretary, Women's Union Cell Head, Veterans Association, Farmers Association; Head of the Fatherland Front Working Committee; Judiciary officer, cultural information officer in extremely difficult villages under Group III communes, border communes in the selected provinces for the pilot program;- Border post, station, border patrol team and border soldiers stationed in border communes in the selected provinces for the pilot program.

The scheme will be implemented over a period of 05 years (2017-2021) in the following 10 provinces: Cao Bang, Ha Giang, Lai Chau, Nghe An, Quang Nam, Kon Tum, Dak Nong, Ninh Thuan, Tra Vinh, Kien Giang.

Decision 1860/QD-TTg takes effect from November 23, 2017.
