Pharmacies and Drug Counters Must Fully Implement Covid-19 Prevention Measures

The Department of Drug Administration has just issued Official Dispatch 3669/QLD-KD Regarding the strengthening of measures to prevent the spread of Covid-19 to the community.

The Drug Administration Department requests the Department of Health to direct retail pharmacy establishments in the area to implement the following:

- Fully implement Covid-19 prevention and control measures as recommended by the Ministry of Health during the practice process;- Seriously adhere to the Good Pharmacy Practice (GPP) standards at Circular 02/2018/TT-BYT;- Strictly comply with the regulations at Circular 52/2017/TT-BYT;- In the case of selling non-prescription drugs, retail employees need to rigorously and fully follow the steps of the drug selling process, including providing information and advice on the use of over-the-counter drugs, and thoroughly investigating the patient's medical history. Should there be symptoms such as fever, cough, difficulty breathing, etc., patients must be guided to report their health status electronically or contact the nearest healthcare facility, and it is necessary to report to the relevant local authorities for monitoring and supervision.
