This is a noteworthy item in Official Dispatch 1625/CHK-VTHK regarding the sale of flight tickets and refunds for passengers during the Covid-19 pandemic prevention and control period.
The Vietnam Civil Aviation Authority requires agencies and units to implement the following:
- Until the CAAV can issue long-term flight permits according to the seasonal flight schedule, airlines need to monitor and closely follow the directives of the Ministry of Transport, CAAV to plan appropriate air transportation operations;- Airlines are only allowed to sell tickets for flights that have been permitted by the CAAV;- For flights that have been sold without the granted permits, airlines must refund the ticket fares to passengers without any charges;- The Aviation Transportation Department and Aviation Inspection Department are assigned to closely supervise the selling and operation of flights by airlines to strictly handle any violations;- The Office is assigned to regularly monitor the hotline, promptly capture passenger feedback to forward it to airlines for handling, or report to the Director of the CAAV for action within their authority.
