Only Open and Seal Evidence When There Is an Order from a Superior

This is one of the principles mentioned in Decree 127/2017/ND-CP detailing the sealing and unsealing of exhibits.

When sealing or unsealing exhibits, responsible individuals must adhere to the following four principles:

- Sealing or unsealing exhibits should only be conducted when required to serve investigation, prosecution, adjudication, and judgment enforcement activities.- Ensure compliance with the proper sequence, procedures, forms, and authority as stipulated by law and this Decree's regulations.- Ensure promptness, respect the interests of the State, and protect the legitimate rights and interests of agencies, organizations, and individuals.- Ensure the integrity of the exhibits.

For detailed procedures on sealing and unsealing exhibits, refer to Decree 127/2017/ND-CP, effective from January 1, 2018.
