Recently, the Ministry of Education and Training issued Official Dispatch 3964/BGDDT-GDCTHSSV providing guidelines for the implementation of political education and student affairs tasks for the 2018 - 2019 academic year. Notably, the document includes guidance on the specific tasks related to student affairs.

An example is some key tasks as follows:

- Direct and implement the contest “School Traffic”, deploy the educational materials “Traffic Culture” for elementary and secondary school students;- Continue activities to disseminate and educate on the law through integration into curriculum content and extracurricular activities;- Strengthen the promotion of crime prevention, anti-drug, and anti-prostitution efforts, especially at the beginning of the school year and after the Tet holiday;- Organize the implementation of the Scheme to support students' entrepreneurship until 2025, organize well the vocational orientation and enrollment counseling activities for final-year students;- Higher education institutions shall continue to rigorously implement Circular 10/2016/TT-BGDDT, Circular 16/2015/TT-BGDDT on the regulations for student affairs and assessment of students in higher education institutions;- Continue to rigorously and effectively implement Decree 80/2017/ND-CP, Decision 5886/QD-BGDDT;- ….
