Officers and officials are prohibited from posting "sensational" news on Facebook and Zalo

Recently, the Prime Minister of the Government of Vietnam signed Decision 1847/QD-TTg approving the Scheme on Public Service Culture aiming to enhance the manners and working style of officials and public employees working in state administrative agencies.

officials and public employees need to adhere to certain cultural standards as follows:

- Do not create difficulties, do not be indifferent, insensitive, or irresponsible towards the difficulties and frustrations of the people;- Do not exploit your work position to appoint acquaintances; proactively seek to resign from your position when you recognize your own limitations in capability and reputation;- When interacting with the public, show respect, listen attentively, provide thorough guidance, and adhere to the principle of "4 requests, 4 long-lasting": request to greet, request to apologize, request to thank, request to ask for permission;- Do not gamble, indulge in social evils; do not consume alcoholic beverages during working hours and lunch breaks; smoke in designated areas;- Do not use social media to disseminate unverified, biased, or one-sided information that may affect public service activities.
