Recently, the Ministry of Construction of Vietnam issued Official Dispatch No. 4308/BXD-HDXX on the management of investment in construction projects that include condotels, officetels, resort villas, and linked commercial housing.
The Ministry of Construction of Vietnam has given notable contents when executing lodging real estate projects as follows:
- When the People's Committees of provinces and municipalities in Vietnam approve projects on subzone planning and detailed construction planning, they must ensure compliance with technical standards and regulations, as well as other factors related to the construction of lodging real estate projects.
- When investing, it is necessary to ensure consistency in investment purposes and appropriate land use for the project. The development of this type of real estate must fit the situation of each locality.
- The People's Committees of provinces and municipalities are requested to consider granting new legal procedures for permission to invest in construction.
- Specialized agencies are responsible for inspecting the legal basis of planning and construction, and evaluating compliance with technical standards and regulations. If information regarding the population for lodging functions or the capacity of infrastructure is insufficient, they must send a written request to the local planning authority for clarification. They must notify the results of appraisal and acceptance to the local construction authority for administration during the construction process.
