This is one of the contents directed by the Prime Minister of the Government of Vietnam in Official Telegram 1224/CD-TTg regarding ensuring traffic order and safety during the National Day celebration on September 2 and the commencement of the new school year 2017–2018.
According to the content of the official telegram, the Prime Minister assigns and directs various ministries and sectors such as the Ministry of Transport, the National Traffic Safety Committee, and the People's Committees of provinces and cities to perform tasks to ensure traffic order and safety during the September 2 holiday.
Highlights include:
- Encouraging people to limit the use of personal vehicles on long trips, especially through high-traffic areas;- Implementing the "High Traffic Safety Month for Students Going to School - September";- Ensuring there are no prolonged traffic jams, especially at the gateways to and from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City;- Strictly controlling and handling illegal fare increases by passenger transport vehicles during the holiday.
