No appraisal fee for reissuing survey and mapping permits

The Ministry of Finance promulgates Circular 34/2017/TT-BTC stipulating the fee rates for appraising the issuance of operating permits for surveying and mapping activities. Accordingly:

- The Department of Surveying, Mapping and Geographic Information of Vietnam and the Department of Natural Resources and Environment are the two authorized organizations to collect appraisal fees for issuing new, supplemental surveying and mapping operation licenses.- The appraisal fee varies depending on the number of surveying and mapping service activities requested for licensing, the area of the organization's head office requesting the license, and the jurisdiction of the fee-collecting organization.

For example: With the number of surveying and mapping service activities requested for licensing being 3, the appraisal fee of the Department of Surveying and Mapping in Region I is 7,280,000 VND/file; Region II is 12,900,000 VND/file, while that of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment is 4,090,000 VND/file.- For the case of requesting reissuance or extension of the surveying and mapping operation license, the fee-collecting organization does not charge an appraisal fee.

Circular 34/2017/TT-BTC is effective from June 8, 2017.
