New Regulations on the Uniforms of the People's Public Security Forces

On April 21, 2016, the Government of Vietnam promulgated Decree 29/2016/ND-CP amending Decree 160/2007/ND-CP regulating the traditional flag, police insignia, rank insignia, badges, and uniforms of the People's Public Security Forces.

The ceremonial uniform for officers of the People's Public Security is prescribed as follows:

- Kepi hat: Pink beige color, gold braid. For general officer rank, the top of the peak cap is adorned with a golden pine branch;

- Spring-summer uniform: Pink beige color, vecton style, K-shaped collar, short sleeves; the front of the men's shirt has 4 pockets, women's has two flap pockets, victory rope worn under the right shoulder epaulette;

Buttons are gold in color, buttons for general officer rank use a raised National Emblem; for senior officers and junior officers, there is a raised five-pointed star in the middle of two rice ears, with the interlocked "CA" letters beneath the two rice ears.

- Autumn-winter uniform: Pink beige color, vecton style, K-shaped collar, long sleeves, inner lining, the front of the men's shirt has 4 pockets, women's has two flap pockets, white long-sleeved shirt, collar with a stand, black tie, victory rope worn under the right shoulder epaulette;

Buttons are implemented according to the regulations as for spring-summer uniforms.

- Shoes, socks: Leather shoes, black, low-top, light green socks.

The Decree 29/2016/ND-CP takes effect from June 06, 2016.
