New Regulations on Criteria for Evaluating National Standard High Schools

The Ministry of Education and Training has just issued Circular 18/2018/TT-BGDDT promulgating the regulations on quality accreditation and recognition of national standards for secondary schools, high schools, and multi-level schools.

In this Circular, the regulations on the assessment and recognition of secondary schools meeting national standards are divided into four levels, with each level having its own evaluation criteria as follows:

- Organization and management of the school;- School administrators, teachers, staff, and students;- Facilities and teaching equipment;- Relationship between the school, family, and society;- Educational activities and educational outcomes.

Secondary schools that achieve from level 2 upwards will be recognized as national standard schools. The evaluation criteria for secondary schools will be met when all indicators within the criteria meet the requirements. An indicator is recognized as met when all components of the indicator meet the requirements.
