New regulations amending customs procedures in Vietnam effective from June 05, 2018

Decree No. 59/2018/NĐ-CP of Vietnam’s Government provides amendments to some Articles of Decree No. 08/2015/ND-CP providing specific provisions and guidance on enforcement of the Customs Law on customs procedures, examination, supervision and control procedures.

Decree No. 59/2018/NĐ-CP of Vietnam’s Government specifies amendments and supplements to regulations on customs procedures and documents, in particular:

- Procedures for temporary import – re-export, temporary export – re-import of equipment, machinery, heavy equipment, means of transportation, moulds or models;

- Procedures for temporary import – re-export, temporary export – re-import of commodities used for fair, exhibition or product launch events;

- Procedures for commodities which are temporarily imported - re-exported, temporarily exported – re-imported for warranty, repair and replacement services;

- Customs documents for outgoing and incoming cars and motorbikes;

- Customs supervision and inspection procedures for outgoing and incoming cars and motorbikes.
