The Ministry of Education and Training has just issued Circular 01/2019/TT-BGDDT amending and supplementing Circular 06/2018/TT-BGDDT on determining enrollment quotas for the intermediate, college levels in teacher training disciplines; undergraduate, master's, and doctoral degrees.

Circular 01 introduces several new points as follows:

- The training sector in determining admission quotas is the sector specified in the Level IV Education and Training List according to current regulations;- Changes in the determination of the number of permanent lecturers for general subjects in the sector group;- Regular students do not include regular university quota students;- Additional regulations on filtered students;- Amendments and additions to regulations on determining regular university admission quotas;

Specifically, for the health sector, the titles of lecturers are regulated as follows:

- Lecturers holding a Specialized Level II degree in the relevant training sector are considered the same as lecturers with a doctoral degree for quota purposes;- Lecturers holding a resident doctor degree or a Specialized Level I degree in the relevant training sector are considered the same as lecturers with a master's degree for quota purposes.

Circular 01/2019/TT-BGDDT takes effect from April 12, 2019.
