New organizational structure of the General Department of Hydrometeorology in Vietnam

Specifically, the organizational structure of the General Department of Hydrometeorology from June 15, 2023, consists of 19 units, including:

(1) Department of Hydrometeorology Forecast Management.

(2) Department of Hydrometeorology Network Management.

(3) Department of Science, Technology, and International Cooperation.

(4) Department of Planning and Finance.

(5) Department of Personnel Organization.

(6) General Department Office.

(7) National Hydrometeorology Network Center.

(8) National Hydrometeorology Forecast Center.

(9) Center for Hydrometeorology Information and Data.

(10) Center for Hydrometeorology Technology.

(11) Maritime Meteorological Center.

(12) Association of Hydrometeorology Survey.

(13) Hydrometeorology Station in the Northern Mountainous Region.

(14) Hydrometeorology Station in the Delta and Northern Midlands Region.

(15) Hydrometeorology Station in the North Central Region.

(16) Hydrometeorology Station in the Central Central Region.

(17) Hydrometeorology Station in the South Central Region.

(18) Hydrometeorology Station in the Southern Region.

(19) Hydrometeorology Station in the Central Highlands.

In which:

- The organizations specified from (1) to (6) are organizations that assist the Director of the General Department of Hydrometeorology  in implementing the state management function.

- The organizations specified from (7) to (19) are public service providers serving the state management function of the General Department.

Therefore, compared to Decision 03/2018/QD-TTg dated January 23, 2018, the organizational structure of the General Department of Hydrometeorology has been reduced by 3 units.

* The General Department of Hydrometeorology is an organization under the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, performing the function of advising and assisting the Minister of Natural Resources and Environment in state management and organizing the implementation of laws on meteorology and hydrology nationwide.

It also manages and organizes the implementation of public service activities within the scope of the state management of the General Department as prescribed by law.

Decision 10/2023/QD-TTg takes effect on June 15, 2023, and replaces Decision 03/2018/QD-TTg dated January 23, 2018.
