More group 2 goods are exempt from quality inspection when imported

On January 21, 2022, the Government issued Decree 13/2022/ND-CP amending and supplementing Decree 132/2008/ND-CP , Decree 74/2018/ND-CP detailing some Articles of the Law on product and goods quality.

Accordingly, additional products and goods on the list of products and goods that are likely to cause unsafety (group 2 products and goods) are exempted from quality inspection when imported into point k, clause 7 of Article 7. Decree 132/2008/ND-CP includes:

- Raw materials, supplies and samples for processing for foreign countries or for the production of goods for export; (Currently raw materials, supplies, samples for processing for foreign traders)

- Raw materials for the production of goods for domestic consumption and circulation in the market in case the goods have been quality controlled according to the respective national technical regulations (except for materials imported for use in the production of fertilizers). fertilizers, pesticides, animal feed, aqua feed, livestock waste treatment products, aquaculture environment treatment products and spare parts, components, components and systems of means of transport belonging to group 2) products and goods. (New content added)

In addition, to amend and supplement point p, clause 7, Article 7 of Decree 132/2008 as follows:

Other goods for non-commercial purposes (non-commercial type) according to the decision of the Minister of industry or field management (currently according to the provisions of law).

Decree 13/2022/ND-CP takes effect from March 15, 2022.
