According to Official Dispatch 2696/BHXH-CSXH of Vietnam Social Insurance (VSI), the monthly allowance policies for commune officials (CB) in communes, wards, and commune-level towns from July 01, 2017, are as follows:

- Commune-level cadres in communes, wards, and commune-level towns who are waiting to reach the eligible age for monthly allowance and receiving monthly allowance from July 1, 2017, onwards shall:- The allowance level calculated at the point in time of January 1, 2003, and adjusted periodically as stipulated in Point a, Clause 5, Section II of Official Dispatch 3320/BHXH-CSXH dated August 24, 2016.- From July 1, 2017, adjusted with an increase of 7.44%.- Specialized commune-level cadres receiving pension or one-time social insurance benefit shall:- The average monthly salary for calculating pension, one-time retirement allowance, one-time social insurance allowance shall be based on a statutory pay rate of 1.3 million VND;- The number of months of social insurance contribution calculated based on living expense allowance as per Decree 09/1998/ND-CP shall be adjusted in accordance with the corresponding increase of the common minimum salary prior to July 1, 2013, and from July 1, 2013, in accordance with the increase of the statutory pay rate of each period.
