Mobilizing the People to Implement a Civilized Lifestyle during the Covid-19 Pandemic

Recently, the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism issued Official Dispatch 1358/BVHTTDL-VHCS on enhancing the role of the community and family in preventing and combating the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism requires departments to strictly implement Directive 16/CT-TTg. Regarding the promotion of civilized living habits, the Ministry has the following requirements:

- For weddings: Encourage, guide, and advise people to consider postponing wedding ceremonies to a suitable time when the epidemic is declared over; promote the form of announcement only;- For funerals: Encourage not to hold feasts for guests on funeral days and memorial days; implement disease prevention and control measures according to regulations;- For the Qingming Festival rituals: Avoid large gatherings, maintain a minimum distance of 2 meters between individuals; encourage families and clans not to hold parties, reunions, or other forms of large gatherings during the epidemic period.
