Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment's announcement on 11 new administrative procedures in the related to water resources in Vietnam

To announce 11 new administrative procedures in the field of water resources within the management scope of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment as follows:

(1) Announces 05 central-level administrative procedures including:

- Procedure for temporarily suspending the validity of groundwater exploration licenses, and water resource exploitation licenses;

- Procedure for returning large-scale groundwater drilling practice licenses;

- Procedure for approving the content of water transfer plans;

- Procedure for appraising the plan for adjusting the inter-reservoir operational procedures;

- Procedure for calculating fees for exploiting water resources for operational domestic supply facilities that have been issued water resource exploitation licenses but have not yet had exploitation fees approved.

(2) Announces 06 provincial-level administrative procedures including:

- Procedure for temporarily suspending the validity of groundwater exploration licenses, and water resource exploitation licenses;

- Procedure for returning medium and small-scale groundwater drilling practice licenses;

- Procedure for registering the use of surface water, digging lakes, ponds, rivers, streams, canals, ditches;

- Procedure for consulting on the plan for artificial groundwater recharge;

- Procedure for consulting on the trial operation results of artificial groundwater recharge;

- Procedure for calculating fees for exploiting water resources for operational domestic supply facilities that have been issued water resource exploitation licenses but have not yet had exploitation fees approved.

More details can be found in Decision 1545/QD-BTNMT, which comes into force in Vietnam from July 01, 2024.

The administrative procedures are announced in the Decisions 706/QD-BTNMT of 2021; Decision 4044/QD-BTNMT of 2022; Decision 438/QD-BTNMT of 2023; Decision 1235/QD-BTNMT of 2023; Decision 2684/QD-BTNMT of 2023 and Decision 2031/QD-BTNMT of 2023 by the Minister of Natural Resources and Environment announcing newly issued administrative procedures, amended and supplemented administrative procedures in the field of water resources within the management scope of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment that no longer have effect.
