Ministry of Information and Communications' announcement on the Digital transformation index for provincial, ministerial, and national levels in Vietnam

Recently, the Ministry of Information and Communications of Vietnam issued Decision 1726/QD-BTTTT approving the Scheme “Determining the set of indicators to evaluate digital transformation of ministries, ministerial-level agencies, agencies under the Government of Vietnam, provinces, centrally affiliated cities, and the nation.”

The Digital Transformation Index in Vietnam includes 3 levels: Provincial Digital Transformation Index, Ministry Digital Transformation Index, and National Digital Transformation Index.

The structure of the Provincial Digital Transformation Index in Vietnam  is divided into 03 pillars: Digital Government, Digital Economy, and Digital Society. Each pillar consists of 07 main indicators, including:

- Indicator for Assessing Transformation Awareness;

- Indicator for Assessing Institutional Creation;

- Indicator for Assessing Infrastructure Development and Digital Platform;

- Indicator for Assessing Digital Information and Data

;- Indicator for Assessing Digital Transformation Activities;

- Indicator for Assessing Cybersecurity and Safety;

- Indicator for Assessing Training and Human Resource Development.

More details can be found in Decision 1726/QD-BTTTT, which comes into effect in Vietnam from October 12, 2020.
