Ministry of Industry and Trade: To elaborate essential goods and services in Vietnam

On July 27, 2021, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam issued Official Dispatch 4481/BCT-TTTN elaborating the List of essential goods and services.

According to the Official Dispatch, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam hereby requests Provincial Departments of Industry and Trade to review and advise Provincial People’s Committees to permit the transport, during the social distancing period as prescribed in the Directive 16/CT-TTg, of certain essential goods, including:

- Foods (including types of products specified in the lists in Appendixes II, III, and Sections 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 of Appendix IV enclosed with the Vietnam's Decree 15/2018/ND-CP;

Specifically, groups of food products; goods under the management of ministries such as goods under the management of Ministry of Health of Vietnam: bottled water, functional foods, micronutrients, food additives, food flavorings, and food processing aids, food packaging materials and containers in direct contact with foods...

- Materials used in manufacturing process (including iron, steel, fertilizer, pesticides and animal feed, etc.);

- Fuels and energy (including petrol, oil, LPG, coal, etc.);

- And other products serving local activities of manufacturing and daily living.
