Ministry of Industry and Trade's request for focusing on implementation of e-invoices for petrol and oil retail in Vietnam

This is the content of Official Dispatch 1654/BCT-TTTN dated March 18, 2024, implementing regulations on e-invoices and providing e-invoice data as stipulated by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam.

Ministry of Industry and Trade's request for focusing on implementation of e-invoices for petrol and oil retail in Vietnam

In execution of the Prime Minister of Vietnam's directive in Resolution 28/ND-CP dated March 5, 2024, from the regular meeting of the Government of Vietnam in February 2024, and the Conference on Implementing the Monetary Policy Management Tasks for 2024 regarding the focus on overcoming difficulties for production and business, promoting growth, and stabilizing the macro-economy on March 14, 2024, the Ministry of Industry and Trade requests the People’s Committees of provinces and centrally-run cities to direct departments and sectors to implement the following contents:

- Focus on prioritizing resources to support fuel business operators in implementing the regulations on creating and issuing e-invoices for business and retail fuel sales activities, particularly in creating e-invoices at retail fuel stores for customers for each sale and providing e-invoice data as regulated.

- Enhance urging, supervising, inspecting, and decisively managing and using e-invoices for business and retail fuel sales activities following the Prime Minister's directive in the Official Telegram 1123/CD-TTg dated November 18, 2023, and the Official Telegram 1284/CD-TTg dated December 1, 2023.

- Closely coordinate with the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam to direct functional forces to review and handle fuel enterprises that do not comply with the e-invoice regulations by March 31, 2024.

During the implementation process, if there are any difficulties or obstacles, it is requested that the People's Committees of provinces and centrally cities report and seek opinions from related agencies and units.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam requests the People's Committees of provinces and centrally-run cities to coordinate the implementation.
