Ministry of Health: Suspending domestic medical declaration in Vietnam

The Ministry of Health issues the Official Dispatch No. 2213/BYT-DP dated April 29, 2022 on suspension of domestic declaration of health in Vietnam.

Accordingly, based on Vietnam's situation and ability to respond to the COVID-19 epidemic, the Ministry of Health of Vietnam requests the People's Committee of the province/city to direct relevant agencies to do the following:

- Suspend the application of domestic health declaration in Vietnam (domestic travel, public places, restaurants,...) from 0:00 April 30, 2022.

- Continue to maintain surveillance activities, early detection and timely and effective investigation and handling of COVID-19 outbreaks in accordance with the guidance and direction of the Government of Vietnam and the National Steering Committee for Prevention and Control. COVID-19 epidemic and Vietnamese ministries and branches to protect people's health, maintain the current anti-epidemic achievements with the goal of putting people's health and life first, first and foremost.

- Actively update communication materials and recommendations on COVID-19 prevention and control in accordance with the current situation and proactively report timely.
